“When the WCIT Charity set up AI4C as part of the 2018 Charity IT Awards competition, it had two members – joint winners Missing People and Campaign Against Living Miserably,” recalls the Chair of the WCIT Charity, Dr Stefan Fafinski DL. He continued: “Back then I hoped other charities would join in and share knowledge and experience around the use of AI (before it became the Big Thing it is today). Under the magnificent leadership of Maxine Ricketts and Paul Excell, we have since welcomed over 50 charities and not-for profits (56 to be precise), including household names such as the Samaritans, British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, Army Benevolent Fund and the Rugby Football Union.”
